    UNIQLO London flagship store - 2 stores, 1 day!

    Last night, Japan’s number one clothing retailer UNIQLO, celebrated the launch of their two store openings on London’s Oxford Street, one of which is the first European Flagship Store located at 311.

    Guests partied to live DJ sets and performances by Daisy Lowe, People Are Germs, Kid Harpoon & Florence and the Machine, and Jerry Bouthier of Boombox. Traditional Japanese drink Sake and vodka cocktails were served. Celebrity attendance included; Ruby Stewart, Georgia May Jagger, Peaches Geldof, Tilly Wood, Lois and Jamie Winstone, Ashley Walters, Jesse Wood, Alexa Chung, Chloe and Poppy Delevigne, Tamsin Egerton, Meredith Ostrom, Katy England, David de Rothschild, Lady Gabriella Windsor, Alice Dellal, Issac Ferry, David Gandy, Ben Grimes, Jackson Scott, Olivia Inge, Naomi Harris, Anna Brewster, Camilla Rutherford, Henry Holland, Jack Huston, Alex Pettyfer, Lisa B, Lisa Moorish, Alison Mosshart, from The Kills and Dan Gillespie from The Feeling.

    The 25,000 square foot 3 storey London flagship store will feature the very best of UNIQLO - stylish, high-quality and affordable clothing and accessories for men and women, complemented by an unparalleled modern Japanese shopping experience in a stunning architectural landmark. The second store located at 170 Oxford Street spans over 17,000 square foot. Both stores are designed by the renowned interior designer Masamichi Katayama, founder and principal of Wonderwall, authentically recreates a unique experience of modern Japanese retail culture. The launch of the London flagship store also marks a rejuvenation of the brand with the launch of the new UNIQLO logo, designed by world-renowned Creative Director Kashiwa Sato.

    OFFICIAL OPENING

    The official opening of the stores took place this morning and was marked by a live performance at the Flagship Store by UK Hip-Hop artist and 2007 MOBO Award nominated Dizzee Rascal. Tickets were available exclusively through media partners Kiss FM, London Lite and Virgin online.
